The Pearl Foundation’s 2023 Youth Leadership Summit event is open to the public and this is the ninth year that the foundation has hosted this free event for our youth. Students from middle and high schools in Howard County and the surrounding areas will be involved in interactive activities. That will include Car Zone, Selfie & Me, Count me in, Know before you Grow, Be an MC, Just say NO, music, and SKATING. There will be rotating sessions on each life necessity, food, fun, and informational booths. We will also have a service project: PROJECT S.H.U.G. Serving Underserved Girls with personal hygiene products and toiletries for those in need.
The 2023 Youth Leadership Summit is made possible due to the collaborations of the following organizations that are vested in our youth: Pearl Foundation, Inc., Iota Lambda Omega of Alpha Kappa Alpha Sorority, Inc. ®, Black Student Achievement Program (BSAP) of Howard County Public School System (HCPSS), Alpha Phi Alpha Fraternity, Inc.- Kappa Phi Lambda, Kappa Alpha Psi Fraternity, Inc. – Columbia (MD) Alumni, Omega Psi Phi Fraternity, Inc.-Tau Pi, and Phi Beta Sigma Fraternity, Inc. - Zeta Alpha Sigma, Iota Phi Theta Fraternity, Inc. - Psi Omega Alumni.
